Jim Armstrong,
President
Chairman of the Board and co-Founder of JDA Software Group, Inc.

Established the Armstrong Family Foundation in 1996 and the Kiita
Foundation in 1999 (President of both organizations) as a result of
the successes of JDA Software. These charitable corporations are
self-funded through donations by Jim and his wife Jo-Ann. Recently,
the foundation has donated an average of $800,000 per year in
financial grants to local non-profit organizations (see
Supported
Groups)

Jim currently serves on the board of
Rancho Feliz Charitable
Organization, facilitating American youth organizations an
opportunity to do service work in Northern Mexico and providing
support to various programs in the community of
Agua Prieta, Mexico.

Recipient of the
Ernst & Young Arizona Master Entrepreneur of the
Year in 2002 and the Governors' Celebration of Innovation Ed
Denison Business Leader of the Year in 2003.

Jim is a native of
Elliot Lake, Ontario and attended Ryerson College
in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Jo-Ann Armstrong,
Vice-President
Jo Ann has long supported many local charities in
Phoenix, Arizona, Whitefish, Montana and Calgary,
Alberta. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for
the
Phoenix Salvation Army.  

She has volunteered in civic affairs (Police Department),
volunteer organizations (The Canadian Cancer Society
and the Heart Fund), and supported school related
programs and various extracurricular activities of her
four children. She has also fit her own continuing
education in with raising their family.

Jo-Ann is a native of
Elliot Lake, Ontario and attended
Sheridan Community College in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

Alison Armstrong Silver
Secretary/Treasurer
Alison is a community activist involved in various educational
and non-profit organizations through the Phoenix area.
Previously a teacher in the Kyrene and Chandler school
districts, she currently serves on the Board of Directors for the
New Directions Institute and as a Lead Partner for the Board of
Directors for
Social Venture Partners.  Alison was the first
member of the Armstrong family to work with
ASU’s Service
Learning Program and is an ardent supporter of Early Childhood
Education.

Alison has a Masters in Education in Early Childhood Education
and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from
Arizona State
University.

Alison Armstrong Silver
Dana Hock
Dana Hock is a Cardiac/Vascular Nurse Practitioner
at the
Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix, Arizona.  
She has served as a board member for the past
seven years at the
Southwest Autism Research
Center, and is constantly involved in volunteer
opportunities in Arizona and with Rancho Feliz in
Mexico.

Dana has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from
University of Utah (1975) and a Masters of Science in
Nursing from University of Utah (1983). She is Board
Certified for Cardiac/Vascular Nursing.

Susan Levine

Susan has a Bachelor of Science in Educational Psychology from
Temple
University and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Scottsdale
Community College.  She has served the public in the Health Services
arena for 30 years.  Patient advocacy has been a long-standing
interest and has evolved into a passionate commitment to addressing
the needs of those facing end of life care and decisions.

As a member of local and national committees and boards, Susan has
participated in developing and expanding innovations in the
palliative/hospice approach to care.  Of particular interest to Susan is
preserving and nurturing locally controlled non-profit health care as
the best choice for delivering high quality care.
Charles W. Whetstine
Chuck is the principal of the law firm of Charles W. Whetstine, PC, his own firm,
and is of counsel to the law firm
Frazer, Ryan, Goldberg, Arnold & Gittler.  Mr.
Whetstine is a Certified Specialist Taxation - Arizona Board of Legal
Specialization.  As a tax practitioner, Mr. Whetstine represents many charitable
organizations and has served on the boards and committees of numerous
charitable organizations in the Phoenix area.

Chuck Whetstine
Joan Lowell
Joan Lowell, Senior Advancement Officer for Donor Services for Arizona
Community Foundation has worked in the human services field since her
arrival in Arizona in 1978 and throughout her career. She currently works
closely with donors, learning of their interests and passions and helping
them to match their resources with the community’s needs. She serves on
several family foundation boards.

From 1983 to 1994, Ms. Lowell was Executive Director of
Hospice of the
Valley, a nationally recognized non-profit hospice. She served as President
of the
Hospice Association of America and on the board of National
Association for Home Care to ensure the highest quality hospice services
throughout the nation.

Ms. Lowell left Hospice in 1994 to pursue a long time dream of joining the
Peace Corps.  She served as a
Peace Corps Volunteer in business and non-
profit development in Kazakhstan, Central Asia, and continues activities as a
volunteer. Since her return in 1996, she and her husband have made several
trips to Russia, Ukraine and Thailand, providing consultation and seminars
on business and non-profit development.
